Key Ministry Skills

  • While I’m not formally titled an "Ordained Pioneer Minister," had I trained in a different diocese, I would likely have carried that designation. I thrive in trailblazing new territory, using creative approaches to bring the Good News to the unchurched. I have a proven track record of growing pioneer projects and fresh expressions of church.

  • I am a passionate and successful mission leader with a proven track record of pioneering new mission projects through listening and community engagement in a variety of cultural settings and situations.

  • Partnering well with my wife, I am known for bringing people together and fostering deep community relationships. I create spaces where people feel valued, useful, and loved.

  • I excel at hosting informal services and am equally comfortable in more formal settings. I enjoy leading worship in creative, new styles and have a relaxed yet challenging and confident preaching style. Whether using a lectionary, reading plan, or preaching on a theme, I focus on expositional and interactive approaches.

  • Welcome and hospitality are core to my ministry. I’m always attentive to newcomers, relishing the chance to create welcoming worship spaces. I regularly practice hospitality—whether at home, in the church, or even outdoors!
